The World Adult Kickball Association (WAKA) teamed with Rhode Islanders Supporting Education (RISE) on Saturday for a charity kickball tournament that raised money for the non- profit supporting children of incarcerated parents.
The tournament was held at the Hank Soares Complex in Pawtucket beginning Saturday morning and lasting into the late afternoon. The goal of the tournament was to raise funds so that RISE can take a group of high school students on a tour of colleges, with the proceeds raised going towards transportation, meals, supplies, and other needs for their campus tours.
Saturday's tournament also featured a few well-known faces, including Sports Team 10's Joe Kayata.
