Motorcycle riders from all over Southern New England came together in Cranston Sunday for a bike run in honor of Marine Corporal Holly Charette.
Charette, a graduate of Cranston High School East, was killed in Iraq in June of 2005, when her convoy was hit by a suicide bomber.
The Post Office in Rolfe Square in Cranston was re-named in Holly's honor in 2006.
Her parents, Ed and Regina Roberts, started the motorcycle runs five years ago, to raise money for a scholarship fund in Holly's name.
An annual 5K road race also contributes to the scholarship fund.
More than a dozen students have already received awards from the Cpl. Holly Charette Scholarship Foundation.
