A Coventry man faces several drug charges after police in Connecticut found several baked goods laced with marijuana in his car.
Police in Middletown, Conn. pulled over 23-year-old Michael Mikolinski at about 8 p.m. Thursday after noticing a broken tail light.
According to police, a K-9 unit found five bags of marijuana, five bell-shaped chocolates, 15 small square chocolates, seven lollipops and 24 homemade Twinkies all with pot in them.
Police said the total value of the drugs was about $7,500. Police said they also found more than $3,500 in cash in Mikolinski's pocket.
Police said Mikolinski told them his mother baked the marijuana goods and gave him the money to pay his rent.
Police said as they were investigating, Mikolinski received several texts from people looking to purchase marijuana.
