Lincoln-based A.T. Cross Co., which is now out of the pen business, has changed its name.
The company said in a news release Wednesday that it's now called Costa Inc.
Costa's business is focused on sunglasses for sports enthusiasts under the brands Costa and Native Eyewear.
"Changing our name to Costa Inc. aligns the corporation's identity with our largest brand and continues our evolution into a growth company focused on the continued rapid expansion of our premium sports sunglass business," CEO David Whalen said in a statement.
The company sold the Cross Accessory Division and rights to the A.T. Cross name earlier this month for $60 million.
Costa said it will still trade under the symbol ATX on the Nasdaq market. A.T. Cross was founded in 1846.
