Report: Man reinstated as Coventry EMT

COVENTRY, R.I. -

An emergency medical technician in Coventry who was suspended for alleged sexual misconduct has been reinstated, the Kent County Times reported.

Randy Crowe, 32, was suspended on July 5 by the Rhode Island Department of Health after a complaint was filed against him by a female coworker.

According to the newspaper, Crowe was entitled to an administrative hearing.

Crowe said on May 25, a misunderstanding occurred between himself and the coworker but, according to a consent order by the Health Department, "there was no indication that respondent acted inappropriately in any way."

The newspaper reported the female coworker who filed the complaint failed to appear at the administrative hearing for the complaint on Aug. 7. Because the coworker didn't appear, the Health Department vacated Crowe's suspension.
