Two Rhode Island state troopers and a pickup truck driver were transported to Rhode Island Hospital after an accident Monday night.

State Police Capt.  James Manni told NBC 10 the troopers were manning a road construction site on Interstate 95 north near the exit ramp for at T.F. Green Airport at about 10 p.m.

Manni said minutes after the barracks began receiving emergency calls about an erratic driver, the pickup hit two cruisers.

The troopers, Kevin Cloud and James Lawton, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
