Police charged a Connecticut man Friday in connection with a bank robbery in Westerly.
Police said 40-year-old Norman Renaldi, of Stonington, Conn., robbed the Washington Trust branch inside McQuade's Market on Tuesday.
Police said no weapon was shown.
With the assistance of Hopkinton police, Westerly police detectives identified Renaldi as a suspect, hours after the robbery.

According to police, Renaldi is being held in Connecticut as a fugitive from justice and will face bank robbery charges in Rhode Island.
