Fall River firefighter struck while crossing intersection

FALL RIVER, Mass. -
A Fall River firefighter was taken to Rhode Island Hospital after he was struck by a car on Friday afternoon.
The accident happened at about 3 p.m.
Fire officials told NBC 10 that Nicolas Suneson was on duty and had just left a training exercise at another station when he was struck by a car at the intersection of Warren Street and Plymouth Avenue.
Fire officials said Suneson suffered a broken leg.
