A tugboat and a barge collided in the waters near the Cape Cod Canal late Tuesday night.
The tugboat, Doris Morian, reportedly lost power while towing the 410 foot barge, Alexander, and the two collided around 11:30 p.m.
The Coast Guard of Southeastern New England was called in to help.
The Doris Morian was able to tow the Alexander to just outside the Canal into Buzzards Bay. It's anchored two miles east of West Island.
The barge is reportedly took on approximately 5 feet of water. Crew members are using pumps to keep it from sinking.
The barge was carrying cement and was en route to New York. There has been no reported impact to the environment, according to Coast Guard officials.
There have been no reported injuries. Cape Cod Canal vessel traffic has not been affected.
