CRANSTON, R.I. -

The Fox Point East Side Little League is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads police to finding the owner of a dog that bit a 12-year-old boy.

Jason Feit needed more than 30 stitches after he was bitten at the Gano Street ball fields on Saturday. The dog, a possible pit bull mix, managed to slip through a fence and grab onto his leg.

Because the owner has not been located, the family told NBC 10 that Feit must undergo a series of rabies shots.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Providence Police Department.
