Drivers are still distracted with hands-free devices in their vehicles, according to a new AAA study.
The study kicked off AAA's "Hands Free is Not Risk Free" campaign to educate people of the dangers of distracted driving.
According to the study, listening to and responding to in-vehicle, voice-activated email, text and social media features provides the greatest risk of distraction.
"Just because you're hands-free doesn't limit your risk," said AAA Southern New England Manager of Public Affairs John Paul. "Put your phone away. Don't answer it. Think of your primary responsibility when you're behind the wheel and that's just to drive."
