Extensive search of Seekonk River after person is spotted in water

Reports of a possible person spotted in the water sent members of the Coast guard into the waters of the Seekonk River in Providence Saturday night.
The initial notification was received just after 6 pm on Saturday and the search continued throughout the evening hours.
Crew members from the Coast Guard Station Castle Hill in Newport, RI, and local marine units from Providence, Warwick, Bristol and Pawtucket conducted an extensive search in the water and on land for the possible person that was spotted.
