Tech This Out: Vine available for Android

Posted: Updated:

Finally! Android users rejoice! Vine is finally here for Android phones and tablets.

About five months after Twitter released the crazy popular video sharing app for iOS supported devices, they made the move on Monday to let everyone else (well almost) play.

When I say crazy popular, I mean it. With Apple products alone, Vine had 13 million users within the first few months.

Some users make HILARIOUS videos, others are creating short films. The opportunities are endless. I'm fascinated at how creative people can be.

To get some ideas try going on Twitter and look up @Vineapp and @thebestofvines.

Now as an android user I'm new to vine, so my first videos aren't the best.

If you watch my segment you'll see my Vine video of Warren who's up for adoption through the Providence Animal Rescue League (@PARL_RI). I love dogs so it was a natural fit for my first Vine video.

Vine isn't quite complete for Android yet, but Twitter says they'll get there.

Actually Vine has a new unique feature, for the Galaxy S4 and the HTC One.

Coming soon for both platforms: front-facing camera support, search, mentions and hashtags.
