RIPTA introduces express bus to Pawsox Sunday games

PROVIDENCE -

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority is offering special bus service to and from Pawtucket Red Sox games on Sundays for the rest of the season.

RIPTA's express bus service will go from Kennedy Plaza in downtown Providence to McCoy Stadium for Sunday games. It starts this weekend.

Most Sunday games start at 1:05 p.m. On those days buses will leave downtown from Bus Stop P at 12:30 p.m. For the game on Aug. 25, which starts at 6:05 p.m., the bus will leave Providence at 5:30 p.m.

Buses will depart McCoy Stadium for the return trip to Providence 20 minutes after the game is over.

The one-way fare is $2.
