MIDDLETOWN, R.I. -

Since Hurricane Sandy crews from the Middletown Public Works Department have been cleaning up and repairing damage caused by the monster storm.

An estimated 150,000 cubic yards of sand has been moved from Third Beach Road to Second Beach in Middletown.

And according to town officials, the situation will not interfere with the opening of town beaches on Memorial Day weekend.
