Gov. Lincoln Chafee has ordered Rhode Island flags be lowered to half-staff as a mark of respect for the victims in the bombings at the Boston Marathon.
His announcement on Tuesday follows the announcement of President Barack Obama ordered that the American flag be flown at half-staff until sunset on Saturday.
Chafee's announcement calls for Rhode Island flags to fly at half-staff on all public buildings until that time.
