City Center rink announces special hours for final week

The ice skating season is coming to close at the Bank of America City Center in downtown Providence.

The rink will close March 24.

The City Center has set special end-of-season hours for next week. The rink will be open 4 to 10 p.m. Monday- Friday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. March 23 and 24.

The center also announced the following special events this weekend:

Friday: High School Night special, 7 to 10 p.m.

Saturday: Girl Scout cookie sale

Sunday: St. Patrick's Day celebration with City Girl Cupcake, noon to 4 p.m.

The Bank of America City Center said more than 50,000 skaters used the rink this winter.
