PROVIDENCE -
The husband of a Rhode Island lawmaker accused of credit card fraud faced a judge Thursday.
Henry Fellela, 55, was arraigned in Providence District Court. He was released on personal recognizance. He is the husband of state Rep. Deborah Fellela, of Johnston.
Henry Fellela was arrested and charged by Rhode Island State Police for stealing a gas card from a person's mailbox and charging more than $700 at stations in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Jersey.
State police said Henry Fellela was caught on surveillance video using the card and driving a Lexus with expired Rhode Island State House license plates. The car was registered to his wife, who was not charged.
Fellela has been charged with mail theft, forgery and arrested on credit card fraud in New Hampshire in 2008.
