Smoke billows from commercial building in Cranston - News, Weather and Classifieds for Southern New England

Thick, black smoke poured from an industrial building in Cranston on Wednesday.

Officials said no one was in the building when the fire broke out and that no one was hurt.

Officials said the building on Bedson Road was used as a carpentry shop for another business. The business's name could not immediately be determined.

Officials said wood materials and paint were stored in the building.
