The con man who called himself Clark Rockefeller goes on trial in California Monday.

Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter is accused of killing and dismembering one of his landlords in 1985.

Gerhartsreiter has been held on $10 million cash bail since 2011.

Gerhartsreiter is in the middle of a 5-year sentence for kidnapping his then 7-year-old daughter in Massachusetts in 2008.
