A man was found guilty Wednesday of killing a Johnson & Wales University during a botched robbery in Providence.
The Providence Journal reported that a Superior Court jury convicted Ramon Virola of first-degree murder and other counts in the shooting death of Christopher Nelson, of Brooklyn, N.Y., in 2004.
Nelson, 23, was shot to death in his Federal Hill apartment, where he was living while attending Johnson & Wales University.
Virola was captured in Arizona in November 2011.
Three co-defendants were previously convicted.
