Rhode Island state police are investigating what caused a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 295 in Johnston Friday morning.
Witnesses say the crash involved a tractor trailer trucks and two cars.
Police told NBC 10 the truck hit a utility pole and the two cars collided trying to avoid the truck.
The crash occurred at about 2:45a.m.on the northbound side near Exit 6.
