
Gas prices in Rhode Island are up again, this time by three cents.
AAA Southern New England said Monday the average cost of a gallon of regular is $3.82, up from $3.79 last week.
Prices locally are up 28 cents in the past month, and the current average in Rhode Island is five cents higher than the national per-gallon average of $3.77.
Rhode Islanders were paying an average of $3.77 a year ago.
The AAA survey found prices ranging from a low of $3.75 to a high of $3.94.
In Massachusetts, gasoline prices have jumped another four cents per gallon in the past week and have now soared 31 cents in the past month.
AAA said that self-serve, regular is selling for an average of $3.76 per gallon.
