WOONSOCKET, R.I. -

Police in Woonsocket have arrested and charged two men in connection with stealing copper railings from a church.

Police said Timothy Ring and Robert Ceraolo, both of Woonsocket, stole the railings from the St. Charles Church over the weekend and then pawned them at a shop on River Street.

Both men are scheduled to appear in court in April.

The railings were estimated at $10,000.

Parishioners told NBC 10 that many people who go to the church need them to get up the steps.

NBC 10 was told the church plans on replacing the railings.
