Bristol-Warren Spelling Bee Champions, Feb. 7, 2013.Congratulations to the winners of the Bristol-Warren Spelling Bee held last week.
NBC 10's Barbara Morse Silva and Mario Hilario hosted the bee.
First place: Caroline Alexandre, a sixth grader from Kickemuit Middle School in Warren.
Second place: Gabriel Randall, a fifth grader from the Rockwell school in Bristol.
Third place: Samantha Machado, a seventh grader from Kickemuit Middle School.
The winning word was protuberant which means "bulging beyond the surrounding or adjacent surface."
