Residents begin digging out from snow

Posted: Updated:

Stanley Estime spent two hours shoveling, and he's not even half done yet.

"It's been really rough," he said.

Estime said he doesn't have power at his Attleboro home.

"All night, very cold. We bundled up. I have two young kids. We had them sleep in the bed with us. Bundle up, were a hat at night, gloves," he said.

Parts of Attleboro had the highest snow totals in the area.

In Cumberland, John Peru wasn't messing around with shovels. He had a snowblower.

"We just about froze up," he said. "I'm just cleaning up for the mailman. I've got 230 feet of driveway. You can't do that with a shovel."
