Susie Steimle joined WJAR in January of 2013 as a Digital Journalist.
Prior to working at WJAR Susie spent two years as the political reporter and fill in anchor at WCAX-TV in Burlington, Vermont. At WCAX Susie was selected to cover the New Hampshire presidential primary at CBS headquarters in Manchester, N.H. Aside from presidential and local politics Susie learned a lot from disaster reporting, she was on the ground for storm coverage when Tropical Storm Irene ravaged the southern part of the state.
Before working at WCAX Susie spent two and a half years as a reporter, anchor and producer for KOMU-TV in Columbia, Mo. She's a proud graduate of the Missouri School of Journalism and is thrilled to be exploring the northeast.
For Susie this job is all about the people she meets along the way and the stories she feels privileged to tell. She hopes to be telling yours someday. Never hesitate to email her story ideas at ssteimle@wjar.com.
