Ask anyone in Rhode Island to quote Frank Terranova, and they'll say, "Now THAT'S Cooking with Class!" It's his signature line as host of Cooking with Class, a daily television cooking segment on NBC 10.

When not in front of the camera, Terranova is a Senior Instructor in the College of Culinary Arts at Johnson & Wales University's Providence Campus. He teaches classes in Advanced Buffet Catering and Special Function Operations and Ala Cart European Cuisine.

Terranova's career began at the popular Twin Oaks restaurant in Rhode Island; soon afterwards, he became the executive chef of the culinary program at Rhode Island School of Design. Owner of F&L International Catering, Terranova then taught in two vocational high schools in Massachusetts before joining the faculty at Johnson & Wales in 1990. He has received the College's prestigious Escoffier Award in recognition of his contributions in inspiring future culinarians, as well as the Publishing Award and the Professional Development Award.

A seafood, grilling and smoking expert, Terranova has been named the grand-prize winner in national competitions, including the American Culinary Federation (ACF), National Seafood Challenge and the CookShack National Smoking Competition, and an individual special judges' award in cold food presentations in the Boston Restaurant Show. He has amassed 13 ACF medals and served as a team member for nine Johnson & Wales wins and a medal from the French government at the Grand Salon competitions sponsored by the Society Culinary Philanthropique. In 2008, he received a Bronze Medal at the Culinary Olympics in Germany.

He appears as the host of the video that comes with each Cuisinart food processor sold. In addition, he has worked many radio shows, is an official Kansas City BBQ judge, and is an FDA HAACP seafood specialist.

Terranova is a member of prestigious Les Amis D' Escoffier Society and holds the rank of chef Grilliardin through the Chaine des Rotisseurs. He co-published a cookbook, "New Paradigm Cooking," and has appeared in "Master Class at Johnson & Wales University," a television series that airs on PBS stations around the country.

Terranova holds a bachelor's degree in Food Service Education from Johnson & Wales. He serves as corporate chef for three food companies. Terranova is also a Master Certified Food Executive and a Certified Executive Chef.
