Frank Carpano joined NBC 10 in 1980.  He has been sports director and primary sports anchor since 1984.

During that time Frank has had the good fortune to cover numerous Super Bowls, World Series and Olympics.  A two-time Olympic torch carrier, Frank won a New England Emmy award for his series called "Getting Frank in Shape."  That series chronicled Frank's preparation for the Olympic torch run.

At the 2006 Olympic Games, Frank worked for NBC, reporting on the games for the network's owned-and-operated stations across the country.  For several years, Frank could also be seen as a fill-in sports anchor at WNBC-TV in New York City.

In addition to his nightly 6 and 11 p.m. sports duties on NBC 10, Frank hosts hosts "First and 10" during the football season and "The Providence College Coach's Show" during the college basketball season.  His hosting duties also include the annual "CVS/Caremark Charity Classic Preview Show," the CVS/Caremark Downtown 5K and the "Thanksgiving Football Feast."

Frank is currently the host and executive producer of "Varsity Life," a 30-minute weekly show on high school student athletes.  That show, co-produced by NBC 10 and Cox Sports, airs on Cox Sports Channel 3 each Monday night at 7:30.  The show can also be seen on turnto10.com.  Frank is also host of the college basketball post game show that airs after select PC basketball games on Cox 3.

For many years, Frank has handled announcing duties at Championship boxing matches in Rhode Island and Atlantic City and for the past dozen years has been public address announcer for Providence College men's basketball games.

Frank donates his time at many charitable events each year, serving as auctioneer and emcee.  That includes the annual CVS/Caremark Charity Classic.

Carpano is a 10-time National Association of Sportscasters and Sportswriters "Sportscaster of the Year" winner.

A graduate of Lincoln-Sudbury High School in Massachusetts and Ithaca College, Frank and his family live in Lincoln.
