Tony Gugliotta is an award-winning broadcaster and joins the NBC 10 team as its first digital journalist.
Tony is thrilled to be doing a job he loves in a city he loves. He grew up not far away in Walpole, Mass., and graduated from Bryant College in Smithfield.
Since graduation, broadcasting has taken Tony all over the country doing many different things. He started his on-air career at KIDK-TV in eastern Idaho primarily as a sports anchor/reporter. From there, he moved back to New England and took the same job at WCAX-TV in Burlington, Vt.
When he wasn't on the sports beat, Tony was part of the broadcast team for many other major events, including the rescue of Capt. Richard Phillips from Somali pirates.
Being back in Rhode Island has Tony excited to be near his close family and closest friends. When he is not at work, Tony enjoys a wide range of hobbies from playing hockey and golf, to riding his bike, and watching movies.
If you have any news tips, please forward them along to Tony and make sure you follow him on Twitter @NBC10_Tony, and like him on Facebook by searching Tony Gugliotta WJAR.
