Casting Call

On or about November 17, 2007, from 8:00 AM EST until approximately 3:00 PM EST, or until all couples have completed their interviews, a panel of independent judges consisting of local members of the business community will conduct a Casting Call at the Federal Reserve, located at 60 Dorrance Street, Providence, Rhode Island. Couples will be notified of their Casting Call appointment no later than November 15, 2007. All couples who enter the contest must attend the Casting Call in person on November 17, 2007 to remain eligible for a chance to win. Couples must check in with WJAR staff at the Federal Reserve at least 30 minutes prior to their scheduled Casting Call. Couples who do not check in on time for their Casting Call Appointment are subject to forfeiting their opportunity to do the interview and may be disqualified from the Contest at Sponsor’s discretion.

During the Casting Call, the judges will select Four Finalist Couples (“Finalist Couples”), including the Wedding Couple, from all complete and timely entries received. Entries will be judged based on the following equally weighted criteria as determined from each couple’s photos, interview and application materials:

  • The aesthetic appeal of the couple;
  • The uniqueness of the couple’s history and background (how each couple met, how they became engaged, how long they have been engaged, the relationship of the couple with family and friends, etc.);
  • The personality of each entrant, individually and as a couple;
  • The couple’s ability to articulate their story;
  • The couple’s interaction with one another; and
  • The demonstrated strength of couple’s commitment.

The decisions of the judges are final and entrants agree to be bound by these decisions.

In the event of any tie, the tied Finalists will be ranked based on a final interview by the judges, based on the same criteria identified above. The Finalist Couples will be required as a condition of continued eligibility to complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility, Waiver of Liability and Publicity Release in the form attached to these rules. Finalist Couples may be asked to sign other documents, including tax documents.
