PROVIDENCE – The seven letter words will be flying in Providence this weekend as the National School SCRABBLE Championship takes place at the Rhode Island Convention Center.

Teams of students from the Northern Lincoln Elementary School, Park View Middle School of Cranston and Western Hills Middle School of Cranston will be among the competitors using the triple word and double letter scores.

The winners of the contest will take home a $5000 prize and some of the students will compete against adults in the National SCRABBLE Championship in July.
