NEWPORT, R.I. – Festival Network LLC announced the addition of Trey Anastasio, Richie Havens and Son Volt to the lineup for this years Newport Folk Festival. The 49th annual festival will take place August 1-3 at Fort Adams State Park in Newport.

Anastasio will take the stage for a solo acoustic set and his first full performance in 17 months. This will also mark the first time he will perform in Newport. In addition, Richie Havens will return to the festival for the first time in seventeen years, while Son Volt will make their debut along with fellow rockers Red Rooster.
