PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- The Blackstone Valley Community Action Program, Rhode Island Housing, the city of Pawtucket, and the Rhode Island attorney general will be sponsoring a forum to help homeowners facing foreclosure.
Representatives of the groups previewed the forum at a news conference Wednesday.
The Foreclosure Assistance Forum will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 7 at Jenks Junior High School in Pawtucket. The forum is aimed at Blackstone Valley residents.
No bailouts are promised, but the forum will include seminars on topics addressing housing issues from legal, consumer protection and financial management perspectives. It will also offer one-on-one sessions with professionals in related fields.
The seminar is free. The attorney general said additional forums will be held across the state.
