Jeff Walkes is vice president of sales at NBC 10 WJAR, the top-rated television station in the Providence-New Bedford market.

Jeff joined WJAR in January 2002, coming from NBC's National Sales Organization.

Jeff started with NBC in 1996 as an account manager and assisted in the startup of NBC's Boston NSO office, where he handled advertising sales for 14 NBC owned-and-operated television stations across the country.

In 1999, Jeff was promoted to sales manager of the Boston office, responsible for day-to-day operations and directing sponsorship sales for such marquee events as the Ryder Cup, Wimbledon and the Olympics.

Prior to NBC, Jeff worked with Fox Television at WFXT-TV in Boston and WNYW-TV in New York.

Jeff is an avid jazz and sports enthusiast and loves to travel.
