 The NBC 10 Pick-A-Pet segment is featured Saturday mornings on NBC 10 Weekend Sunrise. It features dogs and cats available for adoption from Volunteer Services for Animals, Providence Chapter.

But don't worry -- if the pet you saw on-air has already been adopted, the Providence Animal Care and Control Center and the Rhode Island SPCA have many more wonderful pets who hope you will take them home.

The Rhode Island SPCA features animals here as well as the RISPCA Web site. If you would like to meet an animal featured on the web, please visit the RISPCA at 186 Amaral St. in Riverside, Rhode Island.

The Providence Animal Care and Control Center is located at 7 Service Road in Providence.

Volunteer Services for Animals can be contacted at 401-941-6830. The hot line is staffed Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. VSA is located at 27 Dryden Lane in Providence.
On the last Saturday of the month, watch NBC 10 Weekend Sunrise to learn about the latest in animal medicine. The segment is produced in cooperation with Rhode Island Veterinary Medical Association.
