Westerly Armory Restoration is proud to present another collegiate a cappella group. Last year, the Yale Spizzwinks received kudos for their harmonies and singular entertainment.

To continue the tradition, on Saturday, October 25, the Brown Jabberwocks will perform at the Westerly Armory at 7:00 pm.

The Jabberwocks are Brown University’s oldest a cappella group, founded in 1949. Aside from their performances at colleges across the country, they have sung to a wide range of audiences including those at the Miss America Pageant, Carnegie Hall, and Shea Stadium. The Jabberwocks’ music is augmented by choreography and humor.

The group has received numerous awards, and they release a new CD bi-annually. Their repertoire includes over 300 songs of many styles and from a number of eras, such as “The Way You Look Tonight,” “Blackbird,” “Sympathy for the Devil,” You Send Me,” “I Remember You,” and “Ave Maria.”

Tickets are $15 by Thursday, October 23 and $20 at the door. Call (401) 596-8554 or send check to P.O. Box 614, Westerly, RI 02891. Proceeds benefit the museum and restoration of the Westerly Armory.
