The RI Lottery raffle is a TINY step in the right direction, as it is temporary. The RI Lottery, for whatever reason, continues to pass up on the multi-state “Hot Lotto” game, which is played in 13 members of Powerball. The upcoming changes to Powerball (caused by the addition of Florida) might be “too much” for RI Powerball players, who might be looking for a smaller-odds, multi-million-dollar jackpot game, such as Connecticut’s Classic Lotto. The Hot Lotto game not only would truly make RI compete with CT; the Hot Lotto game also has its own multipler, the “Sizzler” tripler. Also, adding Hot Lotto to the RI Lottery would give those in southeast Mass. a “secondary” game with a CASH OPTION, which Mass. Megabucks continues to lack, just ask the family of 2004 “winner” Louise Outing. (New Hampshire is the only New England state with Hot Lotto.)
