Police make drug arrests in Newport

Police and federal agents said they busted a drug operation Thursday morning in Newport.
They arrested 17 people in the north end of the city. They also issued arrest warrants for 26 people accused of selling crack cocaine and prescription drugs.
Eight of the suspects will face federal charges because of their arrest records.
