The owners of Twin River are exploring their options for increasing revenue and avoiding bankruptcy.
Managers say they won’t rule out asking lawmakers for a break on the amount of money they’re required to turn over to the state. But they’re also looking at other changes, such as possibly reducing the number of dog races they run. And a spokesperson has confirmed Twin River has state approval for a virtual roulette machine.
The chief operating officer says the facility wants to avoid filing for bankruptcy protection because they believe that might scare away customers and employees.
