TAUNTON, Mass.—A 43-year-old Taunton man is under arrest accused of setting fire to a bakery.
Police and fire investigators said that on Aug. 12, Manual M. Arruda broke into Art’s International Bakery, stole some money, and then lit the building on fire, to cover up the crime.
The popular neighborhood bakery on Washington Street was destroyed in the fire and 15 people lost their jobs as a result.
