The Potter League for Animals unveiled its new, state-of-the-art facility Thursday.
The new facility in Middletown was built around the old one. On Thursday, the old walls were torn down just as the new facility opened.
The new Animal Care and Education Center contains an obedience training ring and homelike rooms for adoptable animals, covering more than 19,000 square feet at its location on Oliphant Lane.
Green design techniques were used to construct the new building, which has a “vegetated” roof.
