Organizers of this year’s Memory Walk are reporting a record turnout despite the rainy weather.
The Rhode Island Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association held its annual Memory Walk at Roger Williams Park Sunday morning.
It’s estimated that 25,000 Rhode Islanders suffer from the disease, and as many as 100,000 people who act as caregivers for these patients.
The Memory Walk is the Alzheimer’s Association’s biggest yearly fundraiser.
